Stephen Thomforde is a woodturner and bagpipe maker living in Lowell, Massachusetts. He is also an avid musician and plays Bagpipes of varying sizes and Wooden Flute.

In 2017, Stephen followed his passion and apprenticed with the bagpipe maker, Michael MacHarg.  He has pursued his work and love of Celtic craft through local vendors, commission work, and the online marketplace.  His home studio in Lowell, MA has given him the flexibility to work in evenings, weekends, and whenever he can spare more than 5 minutes. When not working in the studio, Stephen spends time with his wife and their son.
